Advanced Biofuels in a Biorefinery Approach

Thank you from the Conference Chairs

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, University of Copenhagen and IEA Bioenergy Tasks 39 and 42 we would like to thank all the participants and sponsors at the conference Advanced Biofuels in a Biorefinery Approach for your interest and your contributions.

More than 220 people from academia and industry participated in the conference that covered the latest developments in advanced biofuels and biorefinery technology, with a special focus on biology/biotechnology, integration of technologies and deployment/commercialization. The conference was coordinated with meetings in the two IEA Bioenergy networks Task 39 (Commercializing liquid biofuels from biomass) and Task 42 (Biorefineries). A site visit to the DONG Energy Inbicon biorefinery and Novozymes production facility in Kalundborg was part of the conference.
